A few people have been asking me about this open letter signed by Elon Musk and other intelligent, informed people in the field of AI. I didn’t sign it.
A six-month pause in AI development may not have a significant impact on the overall trajectory of AI adoption, and it could potentially hinder progress in solving pressing problems.
